Les machiya sont des maisons en bois typique des centres-villes japonais, qui ont servi de logement et d’ateliers aux habitants pendant des siècles, malheureusement elles disparaissent de plus en plus dans les grande agglomération. Si vous êtes de passage à Kyoto je vous encourage à louez une machiya pendant votre séjour, vous pouvez louer celle de la vidéo à cette adresse. Située dans une ruelle calme tout près du chemin des philosophes et du Ginkakuji c’est un excellent camp de base.

– We will announce the new Scarlet and Epic programs on Thursday Nov. 13th. I want to say that no one has any idea how incredible this announcement will be. Call this hype… please. I am quite sure that the announcement will be called a « scam ». Should be a lot of fun to hear the reactions. I can’t wait. 

- Jarred is buying extra server bandwidth… we will post specs and renders for people to email around. This makes the RED ONE announcement seem small by comparison. 

- I want to spill the beans sooooooooooo bad. >Must stick to the plan… must stick to the plan…. 

- We have set our sights high and have learned a lot in the past month or so. We aim to make you proud of your belief in RED. This is the biggest, most exciting and incredible thing I have ever been involved in. Really great stuff. I am confident that you will be pleased.

- « Both RED Epic and Scarlet have changed. I think you will be quite surprised at what we have done. I said in an earlier post that « the market had changed ». I didn’t mean that others have changed the market… I meant that we had with these two models. That will be much clearer early November. »

I am testing Build 16 and I am so happy. While there are lots of little nits to pick at this stage, the concept of what is being done here is absolutely incredible. I find myself shaking my head in disbelief while sitting alone looking at this stuff. I’m sure there is medication for this condition. When I find out what it is, I’ll post it. You’ll need it.

Build 16 will get lost at NAB. You will hardly notice. The other eye candy will over-shadow this build. But it truly is monumental. It represents our graduation from the University of Camera Building. I’m sure that there is a ton more for us to learn, but the foundation is now laid for the RED future. Two years ago we knew nothing. I really can’t believe that so many of you trusted us with our shiny prototype!
